Las Tres Vírgenes Volcano

Las Tres Vírgenes Volcano

Rising dramatically above the desert of northern Baja California Sur, Volcán Las Tres Vírgenes is one of the peninsula's most striking volcanic landscapes. Located within the Vizcaíno Biosphere Reserve, a federally protected natural area, the volcanic complex is formed by the three volcanoes El Viejo, El Azufre, and La Virgen. Rugged lava fields, geothermal activity, and panoramic views meet an extraordinary diversity of desert flora and fauna. Whether exploring its trails, photographing its volcanic scenery, or experiencing its dark night skies, visitors encounter one of Baja California Sur's most unique natural environments.
